The main character of the story. Ringo is one of the most skilled miners in Wildwood.

Marshall
Ringo's best friend, and a very brave and trustworthy miner-ferret. 

Sam
Despite his gritty, hairless, mangy appearance, Sam is a friendly fellow, and a good worker. 

Jill
With her rough attitude, oversized pickaxe, and great strength, Jill is one of the toughest ferrets in the mine!

Slinky
Slinky is the brother of Jill.  Although he's not nearly as tough as his sister, they get along nicely and make a great mining team!

Kevin
A rambunctious little ferret kit, who tends to get into a lot of trouble!

Argus Itzall
Argus the fox is the owner of the Hardware and Mining Supply store. But soon he realizes there is a different way to make money. And it isn't good...

Vincent Cooney
Vincent is an outlaw raccoon. He and his band of robbers are well-known for their occasional destructive raids on the town.

Coyotes
A few of the coyotes around Wildwood have been raised and trained by the outlaws, and therefore are nasty and vicious.
